Cornerstone

Start Here. Serve Anywhere!

What is the Cornerstone Program?

We believe God calls us to serve Him and to build our lives on His Word, no matter where we are or what we’re doing.

The Cornerstone Program, offered the first year at Faith School of Theology, provides an excellent opportunity for spiritual growth, as well as a firm foundation in Bible and discipleship training.

Whether you’re called to full-time ministry and plan to stay at Faith for the full three years, or simply want to get to know God more deeply and learn how to disciple others, start with the Cornerstone Program – then serve wherever God leads.

What will I learn?

You’ll do and learn more in nine months than you ever thought possible!

Through our intense, small group discipleship and mentoring program, in-depth Bible study, missions and ministry experiences, you’ll deepen your relationship with God while learning to effectively reach others with the good news of Jesus Christ. We’re not only committed to excellent academic instruction, but to the leading of the Holy Spirit in all day-to-day learning and activities.

What can I do after I complete the Cornerstone Program?

Anything God calls you to do!

If you choose to stay at Faith, you’ll move into one of the four majors:

Ministerial – Training for pastors, assistant pastors or youth pastors.

Missionary – Training for world evangelism or cross-cultural ministry.

Christian Education – Training for service in Christian schools and church Sunday schools or as youth group or Bible study leaders.

Music – Training for those with musical giftings, whether instrumental or vocal, particularly in the area of leading congregational worship.

If you feel called to serve God in a different walk of life, you’ll receive a Cornerstone Program certificate, and you can transfer the credits you’ve earned to one of several four-year Bible colleges.

How much does it cost?

Good news! Your education at Faith is free!

You will be responsible for books and a utility fee each semester as outlined in our catalog, but guess what? We have that covered too. Through SWAP, our Student Work Assistance Program, you may apply to work on campus in exchange for up to $1000 of the utility fee.

What is the campus like?

Faith is nestled in the heart of rural Charleston, Maine. Its large, central complex of interconnected buildings houses classrooms and dorm rooms, as well as the library, cafeteria, gymnasium and chapel. In the surrounding area, you’ll find hiking trails, lakes, rivers, three large state parks and the famous Mt. Katahdin, as well as convenient shopping areas and easy access to Maine’s beautiful coast.

What opportunities for ministry will I find?

Faith offers many ways to prepare and train for ministry and outreach through our Voices of Faith vocal choir, Acts of Faith drama team, hands-on ministry assignments, and a variety of foreign mission trip opportunities. Your days will be full and fruitful!

What about the staff?

The faculty and staff are dedicated to God and His ministry. Each instructor is well-qualified to teach the subjects that are the building blocks of Christian service and to mentor students for ministry. Faculty and staff practice and model a life of faith in God.

So…

Are you ready for a year of powerful worship, in-depth Bible study, and exciting ministry opportunities as you build a strong God-centered foundation for your future?
